My Story
With a background in art and design and a passion for making things from a young age, I enjoy experimenting with different mediums and crafts. I have been down a few different creative paths in the past 20 years including make-up artistry, wig making, doll making and jewellery making, which have now led me to the world of surface pattern design.
With a love of nature and all things cute and creepy, you will see that these themes are the inspiration behind a lot of my work. I like bold colours and creating playful patterns. I would love to see my work on a range of products so if you're interested in collaborating with me please get in touch!
Alongside creating patterns, you will see that I sell handmade products in my shop. For the wax melts, I believe in using high quality materials and make sure to use ethically sourced products. All of the wax melts are phthalate free, paraben free, cruelty free and vegan friendly. The wax is hand poured and I really take my time with the process. I have undertaken lots of testing before putting them out there for you to purchase as I want to ensure that they have an excellent scent throw so that you can really enjoy them!
All of the earrings are handmade from polymer clay. I like using clay as there are so many colours and patterns that can be created. I like to make sure they are finished to a high standard so I sand any rough or bumpy spots after baking to ensure they are nice and smooth with clean edges.
I want to be as environmentally friendly as I can be with packaging so you will find your items packed in glassine bags and cardboard boxes.
I am a one-woman show, so as well as the designing and making, I take the product photographs, maintain the website, package and post out the orders!
As I love making a variety of different things, the store will probably have a mix of items available from time to time, so do please keep checking back to see what else I've been working on!
Please take your time to fully read the product descriptions so you are aware of things like dimensions and materials used. Well that's enough of me rabbiting on, I hope you enjoying looking in the shop and thank you for visiting Kooky Moon!
